About SpinWheeli
SpinWheeli started from a simple frustration: most random picker tools online were either cluttered with ads, locked basic features behind a paywall, or just felt clunky to use. We wanted something that got out of the way — a wheel you could open, fill in, and spin in under a minute, with no account required.
What SpinWheeli does
SpinWheeli is a free, browser-based toolkit built around one core idea: making random selection fast, fair and visual. That includes:
- A customizable spin-the-wheel picker that supports multiple wheels at once
- Ready-made templates for classrooms, games, giveaways, decisions and more
- Weighted entries, custom colors, images and fonts for each wheel segment
- A full set of online timers — countdown, stopwatch, Pomodoro, interval, classroom and kitchen timers, a chess clock and more
- Shareable and embeddable wheels, so a wheel you build can be sent to a friend or dropped into a livestream as an OBS overlay
Why it's free
SpinWheeli runs entirely in your browser — there's no server processing your entries or storing your data, which keeps our costs low enough to offer the tool for free. To help cover hosting, some pages may show unobtrusive Google ads; they are kept away from the wheel and timers, and you can decline advertising cookies at any time. We believe a simple, useful utility like a random picker shouldn't require a subscription for basic use.
Fairness, by design
Every spin on SpinWheeli uses your browser's secure random number generator — the same class of randomness used for security tokens — rather than a weaker, more predictable method. We think that matters: if people are trusting a tool to pick a winner or make a decision, the randomness behind it should hold up to scrutiny.
Who uses SpinWheeli
Teachers use it to fairly call on students and assign groups. Streamers use it to run live giveaways. Teams use it for icebreakers and task assignment. Families use it to settle "what's for dinner." And plenty of people just use it to make small decisions a little more fun.
